What is the difference between a Shade Structure and a Shade Sail?
Shade Structures require a rigid frame usually square, rectangular or hexagonal in design to which fabric is then stretched over. They provide excellent cost effective coverage over larger areas. Whereas Shade Sails having no rigid support must be tensioned between a minimum of three attachment points, these could be posts, buildings or a combination of both. Using either heavy-duty webbing or stainless steel wire rope the unique shape is created by this tension and it is important that exact measurement between these points are taken for optimal results. Designed and installed correctly they can provide excellent water run off to the edges.
